I tell myself jokes. People must think I'm nuts, when I start to laugh without a reason.

Smiling is one of those things that affect moods..

I think the trick is, it has to be a genuine smile - where the very slight muscles around your eyes crinkle.. rather than a fake smile, where it's just your mouth.

I guess you could tell yourself jokes :)

Funny thing - I was walking through town today, listening to a PodCast about something or other, and noticed it was making me smile. After a while, the PodCast was forgotten and I was noticing how smiling was making me feel great as well, which in turn was making me smile more.

Maybe try that too then - smile to smile more...?

Ha, you know, I really didn't notice. I was paying more attention to how it was affecting my moods, feelings & energy.

Damn interesting thought though - will have to try it when I'm interacting with people sometime (as opposed to just walking about), and see if I can suss a difference.

That's why they used to teach the posture thing to young girls in old times...

Another thing: did you notice people treating you differently when you stand tall, head up, shoulders open ?
I realised that when I see people standing like that, I automatically see them as more confident, and somehow worthy of respect... like regal ?
