Something is eating our roses every night. By looking on online, the only suspects I could find were deer, wabbits and squirrels. It's none of them. So, it's great find out that it's probably rats! At least now I know what I have to do. Sorry, ratitos, it's Sayonara time!

Ha! That's awesome.

I think cats are smart enough that something wiggling and alive would get priority - they prolly figure out the rose will still be there when they finish chasing the rat.

Plus, you know, more excitement! :)

Exactly like a monkey. I couldn't believe it, either. It was actually amazing :)
I wonder how much we don't know about rats. Animals are shockingly lovely at times.

Like a monkey???

Oh man, that's.. that's incredible.

I can barely even imagine how they'd do that.
Ahh! I've seen a rat do the exact same thing! Up until this moment, I hadn't come across anyone else who had done so, or even heard of it - but I knew what I saw. This particular animal in question actually swung from branch to branch (they were flexible and low-hanging) until I screamed in surprise/delight when I realized what I was watching, whereupon it promptly scrambled down and out of sight.
