...a mild dish soap should rinse of with no residue. Baking soda in water is a good way to get the ..."old man " smell--- out of the scalp and feet. Don?t forget that dry skin brushing and a wet towel wipe-off is the best for exfoliating toxin impregmented skin.

Awesome. It's quite interesting actually, everybody seems to have a pretty similar response (when they stop using soap). Which is reassuring - it means it's just about a specific body type, or skin type. No, it really is all about the soap.

how interesting! i actually stopped using soap for most showers (barring extra-gross circumstances, like massively dirty or sweaty workouts) about a year or so ago...i can't believe the difference it makes on my skin! i no longer have hideously dry skin, and i break out much less often (i only use soap on my face about once a week). it's incredible! i didn't notice a detoxing period as you did...but i wasn't looking for it either, i suppose

Given that it's been another month or so, I'd say it was definitely the right decision. Everything is now VERY calm. I'm using soap very VERY minimally. Any smell I might have had has disappeared altogether. I'm still showering & washing myself (as if with soap) with water - to remove dead skin cells, of course :)
